Enature Moringa Cleansing Balm Review
Review: Enature Moringa Cleansing Balm
I've been hurt a lot by cleansing balms and oils. The western ones especially have disappointed me deeply. So when I hear some hype about a cleansing balm, I am understandably skeptical. But when an opportunity presented itself (a sale), I couldn't turn it down. Here's a quick post on my thoughts on the Enature Moringa Cleansing Balm!
Moringa Cleansing Balm: What Is It?
Most of the hype stateside around the Moringa Cleansing Balm has been because it's won SokoGlam's Best of KBeauty award. Since then I've seen bloggers and YouTubers talk about it off and on. But at $23 dollars a pop for 75 ml, I couldn't justify buying that. To put it into perspective, the Heimish All Clean Balm is about $18 from Amazon for 120 ml. In my penny hoarding mind, why should I spend twenty-three bucks on less product when I could spend less money and get more?BUT when I saw that the Enature Moringa Cleansing Balm was on sale at Ulta for sixteen bucks, I pulled the trigger and bought it. It was on sale. If I ended up not liking it, no harm no foul. If I liked it, cool, I scored a deal. The Moringa Cleansing Balm is Korean skincare brand, Enature's cleansing balm offering. It's a sherbert type cleanser that you scoop out with a spatula and as you work it into your skin, melts into an oil that lifts makeup off the skin and cleanses the skin of dirt and impurities. The main star ingredient of this cleansing balm is the moringa seed extract which functions as a skin conditioner or moisturizer. Enature Moringa Cleansing Balm's claim is that it cleanses while moisturizing the skin and the moringa seed extract certainly is a part of that. Enature also claims to use all natural ingredients and boasts eco-friendly and vegan products AND packaging.
Enature Moringa Cleansing Balm Performance Pros
I've been testing this cleansing balm for a few days and I will say that I have no problems with it. I have not broken out and this has not disrupted the tenuous homeostasis that my skin is now on.I've tested this on very heavy makeup days and very light makeup days and it does better on lighter makeup days. The Enature Moringa Cleansing Balm powers through foundation, blush, eyeshadow pretty easily. However, it has a pretty tough time on eyeliner and mascara. Although it is recommended that you use more gentle eye makeup removing techniques to reduce tugging on the eyes, sometimes you just want to go to bed and I found that I had to work this into my eyes to get product out.As I've said before, I've been hurt by a lot of cleansing balms and oils that has me feeling like it's left a thin layer of oil on my face and my foam wash basically is just cleaning the oil off. This cleanser definitely is not in that category. It cleanses and lifts makeup off my face well and then washes down the drain and my skin isn't left slick like it's been face first in a vat of barbecue.
Enature Moringa Cleansing Balm Performance Cons
There isn't really any cons that I saw besides that it has a hard time on eyeliner and mascara. My only other gripe is that this sells for $23 dollars for 75 ml. I will likely blow through that pretty quickly.
Enature Moringa Cleansing Balm Final Thoughts
All in all, I do like the Moringa Cleansing Balm. It melted my makeup efficiently, didn't feel greasy on my face, and is readily available at Ulta.My only real gripe is that $23 is the asking price for 75 ml. The Heimish Cleansing Balm is $18 for 120 ml. The Heimish balm works just as well or better and comes with more product for less money. It's not a performance gripe; it's an, I don't know, funds gripe. I am enjoying the Moringa Cleansing Balm but I don't know if I would shell out $23 to purchase it again when I don't have to.But if the price isn't an issue for you, then I am comfortable saying that I think this is a great cleansing balm and will totally help you go forth and conquer!
