Skincare Tips to Skincare Your Skincare Even More
Alright, let's get right to it. The most important part of any makeup routine is skincare. Good skincare makes makeup application a lot easier. Seriously, have you TRIED to put on makeup on an unexfoliated and dry skin. Unless you wanna look like a zombie, it's not a good situation. Skincare is important. Although I understand if it's pretty low on your priority scale. As women, we DO have to do all the things, do it perfectly, and make it look easy. So here I am, I'm going to help you on your way to unattainable perfection. Some skincare tips to make skincare-ing your skincare a lot easier. Hey, I'm running on five hours of sleep. Leave me alone.
Ice Your Skin. The Cold Doesn't Bother You Anyway, Right?
Take an ice cube and run it over your face for about a minute.I have no fancy scientific data on the matter but icing your face will help to shrink your pores and tighten your skin. Similar to how your complexion is nice and tight after going out into the cold, icing your face yields similar results. HOWEVER, this is not just a one time event, you understand, my love. This must be done consistently over a longer period of time.Another fun tip is that don't rub your face with ice that JUST came out of the freezer. You might burn your face. Let it sit for a minute or two before rubbing it on your face.
Stick Those Sheetmasks That Are Supposed to Work In the Fridge
Similar to the icing of the face, using a sheetmask that is cold also helps to tighten pores. There's no proof that this allows the essence to absorb faster into your skin but the principle is there.Your entire body is gonna be cold after a while. Just know that. But it's worth it. Think of your hydrated skin.
Apply From Most to Least Liquid
The skincare community is in agreement that skincare products should be applied from the lightest product to the heaviest product. The principle behind this is, the more liquid something is, the easier it is for the skin to absorb. I would recommend Toner>Essence>Eye Cream>Emulsion>Cream. Cream is heavier than emulsion so if we were concerned about order, emulsion would go before cream.
Use That Eye Cream On Those Blemishes
Eye creams have very concentrated vitamins and minerals and straight up chemicals in them. Try putting them on a zit consistently and it should help your zit heal faster.
SPF Needs To Be Removed
SPF is really important. It can keep you from getting cancer after all. HOWEVER, SPF isn't like lotion that will just bubble away into nothing. SPF needs to be removed similar to makeup. Take whatever you use to get makeup off of your face. I prefer the sherbet oil cleanser method myself. But whether it be makeup wipes, a pump oil cleanser, or a wipe, get that SPF off of that beautiful face.
So there you have it, my friends. These sound more common sense than anything but I'm a little delirious from not sleeping enough. Hopefully, some of this can help someone out there go forth and conquer!
