Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence Review

Hello, boys and girls! It's almost the end of January! Isn't it crazy how fast time goes? My skin has been going crazy as of late. I don't know whether it's the constant weather changes or life changes or diet changes but my skin is not happy right now. HOWEVER, that is not going to stop us from doing a fun skincare review! This fine day, we'll be reviewing the Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence!

What is the Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence

Secret Key's essence is formulated with Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate which is a yeast extract containing amino acids and antioxidants. This is designed to improve skin texture, elasticity, and moisture. It's also formulated with aloe which hydrates and soothes skin and arbutin which promotes skin brightness. The essence also is free of parabens, pigmentation, alcohol, animal oil, mineral oil, artificial fragrance, triethanolamine, phenoxyethanol, sulphate, and benzophenone.Full ingredient list below:Water, Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate, Butylene Glycol, Arbutin, Aloe, rh-Oligopeptide-1, Dimethicone, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Physalis Alkekengi Fruit Extract, Ougidan Extract (Mixture Extract of Paecilomyces japonica, Acanthopanax senticosus, Ganoderam Lucidum, Deer antlers, and Panax Ginseng Root), Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract, Adenosine, Phenoxyethanol, Disodium EDTAI apply this to my skin after double cleansing and after toner. I pour some in my hand and pat it on directly to my face.It comes in a 155ml bottle and you can purchase it from Amazon and other online retailers stateside for about $13.

Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence Benefits

This is a water type essence so this sinks down into the skin really fast. It also has really great ingredients like the galactomyces ferment, aloe, and arbutin to help with skin tone, elasticity, and texture. This essence also has chamomile in its formulation and is an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory which will help calm skin down. Speaking from personal experience, this has left my skin feeling refreshed. For about $13, you get 155 ml of product which is a great deal. The essence did work out to smooth out my skin and helped keep it bright and supple. It definitely does what it says it's going to do.

Secret Key Starting Treatment Drawbacks

This formulation is not as potent as some other essences I have tried.Other essences I have tried have helped to ward off skin blemishes and problems. Since using this essence, I have seen some zits and pimples make a comeback. Never to pizza face level so I know I'm not allergic to it or anything but it's not as strong as other essences out there.I don't know if it's a drawback really, maybe a commentary on Secret Key (and maybe my own ignorance if I got wrong info), but nothing about this product seems very different than the Missha Time Revolution Essence. It visually has the same packaging, even some of the same font and color scheme.

Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence vs Missha Time Revolution First Treatment Essence

If you head over to my mini review of the Missha First Treatment Essence, you'll see that it's one of my HOLY GRAIL products. My skin has never felt and looked better than when I was using the Missha Essence.I tried out the Secret Key essence to compare and contrast and mostly to determine if the Secret Key essence was a good enough dupe that I didn't need to shell out 25 bucks for the Missha one.I have to say I liked the Missha Intensive Moist a whole lot better than I like the Secret Key essence. While the Missha showed skin turnaround in about two and a half weeks, I've been using the Secret Key essence for a few months now and I have yet to see any improvements on my skin. I would even say I slid back to having blemishes.I will not say it's all bad. The Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence definitely helped out in skin texture and moisture but it works very slow. And maybe it's an unfair comparison to Missha but when you have products that are so closely related (read: identical), that's the name of the game. The Missha essence just worked better.

Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence Final Review

I wouldn't kick it out of bed.For $13 for a 155ml bottle, it's a good enough deal. As a matter of fact, that is probably the most succinct review I have on this essence: it's good enough. If you're looking to try a fermentation essence and this is your price range, it's good enough. You'll see some results eventually. However, keep in mind that with the lower end product like this, there are higher-end products that, yes, are more expensive but also do the job better. So final verdict on this product? Eh, good enough.

There you have it, my lovelies! Those are my honest thoughts and review of the Secret Key Starting First Treatment Essence. I hope that has helped your decision making process better and never forget to go out there and conquer.
